About the Journal
|
IJCLPL: International Journal of Civil Law and Private Law Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research at the core of civil jurisprudence, private legal relations, and interpersonal rights. Positioned as a premier scholarly forum, the journal serves legal scholars, civil litigators, notaries, judges, and policymakers worldwide. IJCLPL prioritizes rigorous doctrinal legal research, comparative private law analysis, and innovative socio-legal frameworks that address the complexities of modern contractual obligations, property rights, family dynamics, and civil liabilities. By bridging classical civil doctrines with contemporary societal transformations—such as the digitization of contracts and the globalization of private relations—the journal fosters a deep, comprehensive understanding of how private laws are drafted, interpreted, and enforced to ensure legal certainty, fairness, and the protection of individual rights.
Scope and Topics
The journal welcomes high-quality original research articles, critical legal reviews, and comprehensive case annotations that offer significant contributions to the following thematic areas:
Contract Law & Law of Obligations: Formation and breach of contracts, consumer protection frameworks, good faith principles, commercial obligations, and the legalities of smart and digital contracts.
Property, Trust & Real Estate Law: Land tenure systems, property rights, intellectual property in private domains, law of trusts, and estate management.
Family, Marriage & Succession Law: Marriage and divorce laws, child custody and welfare, inheritance and succession planning, and the legal implications of evolving family structures.
Tort Law & Civil Liability: Negligence, strict liability, medical malpractice, defamation, personal injury claims, and corporate civil accountability.
Private International Law & Dispute Resolution: Conflict of laws, cross-border family and commercial disputes, international private arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in civil matters.
Publication Frequency
To ensure rigorous editorial oversight, thorough peer review, and timely dissemination of critical civil law research, IJCLPL is published semi-annually (2 issues per year, typically scheduled for release in June and December). Special thematic issues focusing on urgent civil code reforms, landmark supreme court civil rulings, or paradigm shifts in international private law may be commissioned by the Editorial Board.
Peer Review Process
IJCLPL enforces a strict double-blind peer review policy to maintain the highest standards of academic integrity, analytical objectivity, and legal validity.
Mission Statement: "The mission of IJCLPL is to deconstruct complex private legal disputes and catalyze equitable, evidence-based civil law frameworks within a rapidly evolving global society. Grounded in the philosophy that legal certainty, freedom of contract, and the equitable protection of personal and property rights are the absolute anchors for societal harmony and economic trust, the journal aims to democratize advanced civil legal knowledge by providing an unrestricted, high-impact platform for global scholarly dialogue. Through the promotion of diverse and rigorous methodological approaches—encompassing comparative statutory analysis, doctrinal legal research, and socio-legal studies—IJCLPL seeks to empower legal practitioners, inspire civil law scholars, and shape future-proof, just private legal systems worldwide."
